Skin Undertone Guide

Understanding your skin’s undertone helps you choose the right foundation, blush, clothing, and jewelry. Your undertone stays consistent even if your skin gets lighter or darker with the seasons.

3 Tests to Determine Your Undertone

1. The Vein Test

Look at the veins on your inner wrist under natural light:

  •  Blue or purple veins - Cool undertone
  •  Green or olive veins - Warm undertone
  •  A mix of both - Neutral undertone

2. The Sun Reaction Test
Observe how your skin reacts to sunlight:

  • Burns easily, rarely tans - Cool undertone
  • Tans easily, rarely burns - Warm undertone
  • Sometimes burns, sometimes tans - Neutral undertone

3. The Jewelry and Clothing Test

  • Silver jewelry looks best on cool undertones.
  • Gold jewelry flatters warm undertones.
  • Both look great on neutral undertones.

Foundation Matching Tips

- Test foundation on your jawline, not your hand.

- Cool undertones: pink, red, or rosy foundations.

- Warm undertones: golden, yellow, or peach foundations.

- Neutral undertones: beige or balanced undertones.

Note: Choose radiant or satin finishes for mature or dry skin.
