Chamomile Apple Cider Recipe

Welcome Autumn! Nature and creatures are slowly turning inward, meaning deeper into the ground. Before that completely happens, the Autumn season gifts a bountiful harvest which includes crunchy sweet or sour Apples. This recipe uses a fresh Apple Cider featuring chamomile for a dessert-like, relaxing, evening night cap.  

Chamomile Cider
8 oz of water
8 oz of apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
1 to 2 whole cloves
1.5 g (0.05 oz) of chamomile

Directions:
Add the cider, water, cinnamon sticks and cloves to a pot.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, do not boil
Pour mixture into tea pot (optional)
Add chamomile Herbs to mixture
Cover and let steep for 2 minutes.
Strain into tea cup

Add orange slice and/or piece of cinnamon stick into tea cups (optional)

3 to 4 servings.

Chamomile not only relaxes but helps to reduce inflammation, treats cold symptoms and/or cramps.  This is the perfect warm drink to snuggle up to after a long day.
